The Beginning
1974

A group of men conceptualized the idea of the Cascade Machine, a revolutionary system for deburring and cleaning metal castings and machined parts.

IEP Officially Incorporated
Cascade System automated finishing centers rely on a patented finishing process to provide fast, consistent, high-precision de-burring and cleaning of castings and machined parts-inside and out.
1980

Iowa Engineered Processes Corporation was officially incorporated.

IEP expanded its operations by starting a second division devoted to custom fabrication. This division provided contract services to companies requiring outsourced manufacturing of metal parts.

Continued Growth

IEP continued to innovate and refine the Cascade Deburring and Cleaning System, known for its patented process combining high-frequency vibration with a controlled cascade of media and liquid cleaning compounds to effectively remove burrs and clean metal parts. The Cascade System was established in 10 countries across three continents, setting a standard for manufacturers worldwide.

  • IEP specialized in custom manufacturing processes, including metal breaking, welding, painting, CNC turning, and milling. Their design team worked to create new ideas from scratch or incorporate necessary changes into the manufacturing process.
